We place a very high value on the positive relationships we have with our parents and carers at Astrea Academy Woodfields. We encourage parents and carers to take an active role in your children’s education. Your involvement makes a real difference and helps us to make sure that every scholar at Astrea Academy Woodfields has the best possible experience here.
We aim to be as transparent and open as possible in all we do and we welcome any questions or suggestions that you might have about your child or about Astrea Academy Woodfields in general. We will work hard to ensure that we communicate regularly with parents and carers and that you are always up-to-date with our activities and our plans for the future.
There are a number of ways you can get involved in the academy:
- Attend our regular parents’ evenings: We hold regular parents’ evenings through the school year and encourage parents to come along and meet your child’s teachers face-to-face.
- Attend our school events: We host a variety of events throughout the year, such as school performances and celebration assemblies. We love to see our families coming along to support the young people at these events. It’s also a great way to get a feel for school life here at Astrea Academy Woodfields.
- Join the Parent Forum [if applicable]: Our Parent Forum meets regularly to discuss school matters and offer constructive feedback. It’s a great platform for parents and carers to have their voices heard and to make a difference.
- Join the PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) [if applicable]: Our PTA plays a vital role in fundraising and organising events throughout the school year. New members are always welcome!
